The Playground |
Alamosa Park, located near Leslie Street South of Finch Avenue is a public park with a park trail that is connected to the East Don Trail. Alamosa Park is located very close to a neighbourhood on Alamosa Drive, making it very accessible to the community and people living in the area looking for a place to walk, bike, or relax. The park itself is very child-friendly, with a small playground with a variety of equipment. The playground is covered with wooden shards, making the surface softer for children to plan on. The playground provides a great opportunity for children to climb, balance, slide, and swing to their desire. With equipment ranging from slides to more advanced monkey bars, I think that the playground is able to suit children of a wide age gap.
Beside the playground, you are able to enter the park where you can see East Don Parklands in the distance and walk to enter the East Don Parklands trail. Within Alamosa Park, there are also three well-maintained tennis courts that is home to the Bridlebrook Tennis Club.

View of the Tennis Court |
The tennis court provides the park with another great outdoor sport that locals are able to enjoy, making the park more versatile and enjoyable. There is also a water fountain close to the tennis court, a smart facility run by the city as families and sport enthusiasts will probably be thirsty during their visit to this park if they wish to play tennis or take a long hike.

East Don River |
Walking along the park trail, there is a point where the East Don River is visible, shown in the image. The park trail is fairly well-maintained, with some broken branches that may be excused since it is also the middle of winter. Overall, this is a very family-friendly park with many activities that one may choose to part-take in, whether it is playing on the playground, visiting the tennis club, or taking a walk on the park trail.
