I went on a hike at this park on a sunny and relatively warm afternoon in mid March. The scenery of the German Mills Creek was what made it really worth while but overall, the trail was unimpressive. Perhaps it was because I visited in winter.. I found the barren trees and dead grass utterly unamusing.

The trail however did have its pros. Unlike some of the other trails that my cohorts have reviewed on this blog this trail is very wheel chair, stroller and bike accessible. In fact, I almost got killed by one of the cyclists! Bonus points! There were plenty of benches at different intervals of the trail which was definitely a pleasant surprise for my dear mother. Another thing I enjoyed was the variety of elevations. There were plenty of uphill and downhill sections which really added some "snaziness" to my monotonous life hike.

As someone who really enjoy museums and other old lady activities, I also found the info boards that were scattered around the trail to be educating and intriguing.
Another fun thing was the playground at the end of the trail. I absolutely love playgrounds. I think I liked the play ground better than the trail.
I recommend this park for anyone how likes playground and light strolls around the neighbourhood. If you're visiting Canada for whatever reason, this park is not worth visiting as it's only a nice quiet trail for locals. If you have small lazy children, it would also be nice to take them on this trail but during the SUMMER or SPRING time because it's very boring during the winter. They will be awarded with a wonderful park at the end. Nevertheless, this park is still a great destination for locals looking for a brisk cardio session surrounded by nature and Canadian native plants that could potentially kill you because who in the world can even tell what kind of plants are growing in this pseudoforest trail??? Anyways, here are my final ratings:
Hike/Bike Toronto Rating: 2/5 The Playground: 5/5
This playground is wonderful. I love the climbing thing and the swings |
