Moccasin Trail Park: a quiet natural setting in the middle of the suburbs. Upon entering Moccasin Trail Park, visitors will find that the park is connected to the East Don Trail.

East Don River
The East Don Trail finds for itself a balance between urban development and nature, following for the most part both the Don Valley Parkway and the East Don River. The tranquility of the river juxtaposes the rushing vehicles, a mixture of sounds. If visitors enter through  Moccasin Trail Park, they will see a fork in the trail. On one side, the trail crosses beneath both the CP and CN Rails. At times trains will pass, rumbling along the rail lines and reminding visitors of the city. On the other, the trail follows closely the Don Valley Parkway, at the end of which is a small park where visitors could rest.
River and DVP
Under the Rails
We visited the trail on a weekend afternoon in March. We passed several other people on the trails; most appeared to be residents of the area, out for a casual stroll. There were several bikers present. However, the ground was muddy in some areas due to snowfall from previous days. It is expected that in warmer weather the path will be cleaner.

River with City
This trail is recommended for those looking for a light stroll in Toronto, particularly those living in or near the area. The scenery of the river with the city in the background makes for a compelling photograph.
